Food that doesn’t carry meat? But cats are carnivores!

When we buy food for our feline companions, they’re not the only animals we’re making a decision about at the time, 70 billion land animals are slaughtered every year after leading a terrible life and 1 to 3 billion fish that suffer in their capture and die, many of these animals end up being part of the feed for cats.

The cat is an animal considered a strict carnivore due to its anatomical, physiological and biochemical evolution, adapted to a lifestyle based on the hunting of small mammals, reptiles and insects. When consuming these animals also ingest a quantity of vegetables contained in the digestive system of their prey, therefore naturally also ingest vegetables that are in the digestive beginning to be digested by the prey, In this way they are easier to digest and assimilate by being "predigested", that is, they can consume vegetables and assimilate their nutrients depending on how they are presented, just as humans cannot ingest legumes without these being processed.

When we refer to cats we refer to Felis silvestris catus, the domestic cat, an animal linked to the human being that today and due to thousands of years of evolution depends on the human being for its survival. Being a pet when we give home to one of them we make a lot of decisions as much or more "antinatura" than giving them a 100% vegetable food, let’s see:

1.- We decide if they live in a flat, in a house with access to a closed enclosure, if they can go out to a protected balcony or if we let them have access to the outside with the risks that it entails.

2.- We decide whether they eat a food or another, of a quality, with ingredients such as cow, pork or tuna that they would never eat in nature, or with potentially toxic additives.

3.-We dewormed them, sterilized them, chipamos and vaccinated them.

4.-We decide your schedules, your games, your company, etc.

And we make all these decisions for their own good, thinking about them.

For a 100% vegetable diet to be completely healthy it has to meet three pillars:

1.- PALATABILITY: that they like it, it attracts them and they find it appetizing.

2.- NUTRITIONAL NEEDS: containing all the nutrients necessary for the correct development of our partner.

3.- BIOAVAILABILITY: in addition to containing all the necessary nutrients these are available so that their digestive system can assimilate them and so pass to your body and perform their functions.
